I originally saw this performance on a re-run of Hee Haw on RFD channel about 2 months ago. The show originally aired January 1970.

Here Roy Clark is playing a Baldwin 12 string electric. The link to Fender is that Baldwin, of piano and organ fame, bid on Fender when it was for sale in the 1960's. As many of you know CBS won the bid. Baldwin went on to purchase the distressed Burns guitar company of England.

To see the performance follow the link and then scroll down to Roy's guitar and then click were indicated. Those of you old enought to live through the 1970's will enjoy the Avacado Green and Black guitar. Nothing says more about style, other than clothes style, in the 1970's in the U.S. than Avacado Green.

Enjoy,

Hi oneal lane,

Ah yes, Hee-Haw and Roy Clark, really brings back memories of a great show, and a phenomenal guitar player. Actually, he was phenomenal playing just about any instrument. I remember at some point years ago Roy Clark was hired to play at someone's funeral, it was very touching, and you could tell that Roy Clark was emotional, yet he played great acoustic guitar. I can't recall what song he played. Thanks for the link! :)

Elvis played the 6 string version of that guitar in either Viva Las Vegas or Spinout and it's on display in Graceland.

That color could have been the beginning thought behind the later Antigua colored strat.

Guitslinger,

"Elvis played the 6 string version of that guitar in either Viva Las Vegas or Spinout and it's on display in Graceland."

Thanks for the heads up, I would love to see that.
