McGuires (is that how it's spelt??) do a range of polishes that can get rid of minor scratches with a bit of elbow grease. But keep in mind that if you polish the guitar you'll lose the flat black finish as the polishing will move it towards being gloss.

I had an early Highway 1 Strat and the finish on that was very fragile and worn of quite quickly - which appealed to me, but not to others.

Scratches are part and parcel of playing, the alternative is stuffing your guitar behind a glass case :( Hopefully not.

It's part and parcel of a cellulose finish.

I just use hot air and a soft cloth. The cloth can be scarce at times, theres always plenty of hot air available though.

Seriously, all them polishes and things leave a sheen on your guitar. I avoid em. I'll sometimes use a moist cloth if theres a build up of grime on the fretboard.

I kinda like it coming off I think my color is the ugliest color ever put on a guitar....but now its all relic and broken in and tuff. I will never buy a nitro finished guitar unless I find some smoking deal on something vintage and cool.
