hello,

First , sorry for my english.

I see the picture of the classic player 60 in the website and i am very surprised. I see in the head that they aren't the little piece to put down the B and E string (I don"t know the name in English).

So, the old model have this piece and now, they aren't. How is possible? the mecanics are already vintage mecanics.
I have never see an head with "standard or vintage mecanics without this piece !!!

i speak about this piece :

I'm not sure why they done away with the string tree on that model Strat. It has "Vintage" style tuners. They're not staggard either. I've read some good reviews about that particular model though. Some people say they are really great Stratocasters. They have some now with a 12" radius.

I noticed on the stock pics of the 50's classic player strat there is no tree, the one I got ( had problems and in the midst of an exchange) had a really cheap trre job, just the guide screwed down all the way to the wood...if the new one works out may look into a roller tree or such..., at the very least use some sort of spacer.

yes , I would like to buy it. But I wish to be sure that the new model don't have specific problem due to this modification.

I think you'll find it's just a photographical error. I can't see why Fender would not use a string tree. Albeit a cheap screwed directly to the wood, though vintage correct, one.

Something to consider Pelly. For the price your going to pay for a Classic Player 60. (I'm assuming your buying a new one) You can find a used American Strat. I bought a used 2010 Am Standard with Custom Shop Texas Specials in it for $775.00. It's just like new. Original Hardshell Case and all the Candy too.

I'm just saying keep and open mind to used gear if your in the market for a Strat.

Nikininja is probably right about the photo. I don't see why Fender would remove the tree. With Vintage style tuners it would have to have a tree. (i guess)

The Classic Player 60s still have a a string tree, the photos they use often have incorrect features.
