Hey just wondering if anyone knew of a place where I could enter a serial number online and find out guitar information?

Hi Fender Deluxe: you can go here - http://www.guitardaterproject.org/ . However, you are going to learn little if anything that you couldn't tell by looking at the guitar in your hands.

Fender Customer Services have a database that connects serial numbers to models and features. I wish we had access to that - but we don't!

Very, very occasionally someone puts their serial number in a post on this type of thread and nice Mr Rob Schwarz of Customer Services sees it and volunteers the information. So you could try that here if you want. But don't count on it: that gentleman mostly has more important stuff to be doing with his day...

Rough date of manufacture and country of origin are about all you'll get from the serial no'. Fender can get you all the info on the guitar from their database, using that serial no'. No one else is privvy to that resource though.
So you can email Fender requesting the info, or post a picture here and we'll all have a gander.
Wasn't it around 98 that Fender Mexico started releasing the special runs and their Deluxe series guitars?

At first shot, I'd guess MIM built between 1998 and 1999. Anyone want to chime in?

Just as an aside, my Custom Shop Clapton has a serial number beginning CN- which (technically) makes it a Korean-made! It's always interesting to dig into some of the odd ball Fender numbers!

click on the photo you want, it will expand on your screen

it should turn yellow and flash copied
If you're on a mac, open edit and click CUT,
use your back arrow to return to the open post page.
click inside the message box, then click paste.
the IMG code should appear.
type in the rest of your message then submit.
the photo should show up in your post.
This is for a single photo at a time,
For multiple photo's you'll need to combine command or control with the click depending on your computer.

You can call this number. 480-596-9690. Fender Consumer Relations. Give them the serial number. They can tell you everything about your guitar. They can even e-mail you the spec sheet in most cases.

Thank you guys so much. Called Matt at the number listed and found out that I had picked up a Fender Super Strat Deluxe made in Mexico... He sent me the spec sheet and really helped me out... I thought that the deal I got was to good to be true, but in this case I guess the kid I got it from really didn't know what he had... I paid 150 buck for this guitar and a small 30 watt vox amp... Still had the tremelo bar inside the plastic bag... Thanks again so much... SSG Danny Kilgore
