Bare in mind, most people who are ordering these things, especially lower end products, want to be able to assemble them themselves without having to do any woodworking. Ive ordered aftermarket parts for strats and teles, like Callaham blocks, trems, bridges, and they fit like they were made by Fender. This body/neck combo was ordered from the same company, and they wouldnt fit together without woodworking. The point of the post was, if he spent just a little more on the parts, he would have spent 1/3 on labor, and ended up with a much better quality guitar. He essentially got a Squire for the price of an American built guitar.

For the most part, " No "... it is not standardized, unless you indicate when ordering to a supplier the exact hardware to be installed, or that it is a Fender style strat. They have to guess and often may not send the correct parts for the application.
It is up to the person ordering to alert the supplier as to the requirements otherwise buying a ready to play guitar would be preferable and save much frustration on both ends of the equation.

I don't see a basis for trashing a company, when you order you or I for that matter are not their only customers and for the company to research all your needs is not feasible.

Further more there may be restrictions as to how much prep work or cloning they are legally able to perform. :?

Regardless of what hardware is going on, the holes were crooked, even if the holes lined up, the nut, and the trem would not be straight. im trashing the product, if the company doesnt want bad stuff being said, they should make better products. I dont care what hardware is going on, if one hole is 5/16's of an inch from the top of the fretboard, and the other hole is 7/16's, nothing is going to fit on it correctly. Other companies have no problem putting out stuff that doesnt have this shoddy work, and there is no doubt that this was shoddy work.
