I got the 08 Blizzard Pearl with maple neck. She is gorgeous. It plays awesome but the e b and g strings buzz a bit. Hopefully a setup problem. I recommend this guitar for it seems whiter than Olympic white in certain light. Not as silver as online pics. I think the blizzard pearl pretty much slays the other new colors.

I bought an MIA Standard last year, but I did go out to try the new 08 ones, and they didn't really feel/sound all that different (didn't have a look at the case tho...)

Can anyone tell my why they went back to the old style saddles?

I think the bent steel saddles impart a more vintage sound. I replaced mine with saddles from Callaham Guitars.

The main thing I like about the AS is the neck. It feels so much nicer, and I find that it's just so easy to play. Can't wait to get another one lol.

That is desiccant. That is to keep the humidity down so the guitar won't warp in the case.

so it's somethin' like sylica gel? I've heard it's not good for the guitar to keep these bags in the case, cause it can overdry the guitar  .

I ordered a MIA Strat HSS 3-tone sunburst 3 weeks ago...it should be here in another 2 weeks and I am dying to get it. I am thinking of getting a Vox Valvetronix 50VT amp, does anyone have a Strat and Vox combo?

I use a strat/cyber twin setup and it's fantastic.

WOW! I just checked out the Cyber Twin video on Fender.com and that is an incredible very versatile amp. I bet it sounds great...too much out of my price range but maybe someday. Thanks for the response. What kind of music do you play?
