Bought one yesterday. My Classic Player 60's was still within the 30 day trial period and as soon as I got a chance to compare the two I traded it in for the AS.

3-tone burst with maple. Awesome guitar! :D

Got an Olympic White w/maple neck from my local GC. Actually ordered it last week and thought I'd have to wait a while, then one came in a shippment to that store. The salesman I ordered it from saw it and saved it for me. Picked it up yesterday. Its a beaut and it plays great.

Yours wasn't stained was it? The white one that showed up at our GC had a green stain in the finish they couldn't get out. They thought it was from the case lining bleeding into the finsih. But, the case lining is black so I'm not sure how it would have turned the guitar green.

I bought a 2008 Fender American Strat yesterday. I went to GC for a Classic Players 60's and my salesman who I deal with told me I had to tryout the new Strat, so I did an A-B test on the two and the 2008 won hands down. It blew the doors off the Classic Players 60's. I am now the happy owner of a 3 tone sunburst with a rosewood neck. Fender has this new series on the money.

Bought one a few days ago. It is my first electric. I was leaning towards a Highway1, but decided to just give this one a shot. I left the store without it that day, lost sleep that night thinking about it, drove back the next day and bought it.

It felt so amazing. I even played an identical guitar at GC and didn't get the same feeling. I know it was probably setup differently, but I like to think that my guitar was just made for me! The Olympic white with the maple neck. The neck is like glass.

I love this guitar.

Hi All,
Well, I ordered my new American Standard Strat and I should have it this wednesday. I am looking forward to it, this will round out my American collection. I ordered the Olympic White with a maple fret board, I think that combo is just awesome. I'll post pictures later this week and let you know what I think. I hope it is as good as everyone says it is. 8)

Great, The black w/ maple fb was my second choice, I figure if I'm not fond of the olympic white w/ maple, I can return it for the black w/ maple fb. 8)
