Hi all,

Need to sell my guitar. I'm the original owner and the guitar has been hardly used.
I have receipt and owners manual with original hard case.

Any idea what these are selling for?

Thanks for the input..

It is worth exactly and precisely no more and no less what someone is willing to pay for it.

Looking on e-bay, there a a 1983 black w/maple with a buy it now of 849.99 and starting bid of 600.00, no bids listed on it, and the other side shows a white one w/rosewood with a buy it now of 3,499.95.

There a couple more in-between that, but none have sold.
The problem is, wile it is a nice guitar in great shape, if it was a Stratocaster it would be worth far more and there is a larger market for the strat, and not everyone knows what an Elite is.

It is clean enough a collector might want it, you may want to try and place it in a guitar auction and see where is goes.
That, or just run it on e-bay and wait for someone to buy it.

The VG Guide value for your guitar is between $1,100 and $1,375 with case.

Sorry to burst your bubble but you are not going to get anything near what the Guitar is worth.

Thanks to the overly produced Mexican Strat at a fraction of the cost.

Thanks Fender

I'll have to disagree. I don't know what the guitar is worth or what it will sell for but as far as I'm concerned a MIM Fender would never figure into the equation. I would never choose a MIM over a USA model because of price. Some would of course, but other such as myself will not.

Well look at all the Very nice USA Lonestar models on ebay for 500 or 600.
They do not even get bids on them. But those less expensive Mexi Strats sell like hot cakes.

What the heck is the difference between all of the strat models anyway? ( I mean the ones that are built the same) The same Guitar goes for $500 or it goes for $1500.

It is like Mercedes used to be a Highly luxurious car that only the wealthy could afford. Now they are making cheaper and cheaper versions. I guess I would like to see a few less models and more distinction between a high end and a budget guitar.

The type of buyer looking for a vintage like the Elite is not the type of person who would ever even LOOK at a MIM

I bought a Black/Maple neck 1983 elite on ebay....I think it was the one mentioned above.

Did you sell yours?
The pics are gone.
How much do you want for it?

Mike
