I bought a small generator as my xmas gift and did my first concert at Bondi Beach. It powered my vox ac30 nicely and pumped it with my Lonely Boy strat and a mic. There were about 500 people listening to me. After 10 songs they started to clap and then I felt the love. Security guards were walking around me and smiling, I even played The Slide with a couple and a drunken lady wriggling around lol. This was my first concert and a great success. I sang 40 songs and was exausted after the event. A painter told me the voc guitar voice exploded across the whole park at Bondi Beach. Some people photographed and videod me hahahahahahahahhahahahaha I never got kicked off or arrested, I'm not busking asking for money just performing my original rock n roll tunes.

I thought that was repealed now, unless your in some cities. Birmingham requires a permit, as does Coventry. Leicester doesn't, Lincoln does, Nottingham doesnt.
The ones that don't the local council just asks that you seek advice from the local police force for that area. Most of which say as long as you're not causing nusiance or overly obstructing the pathway, you're fine.

It did happen Nev and thanks Bill I dont have pics. 2 sets of 20 songs each equals 40 in 2 hours and 15 minutes with 20 minute break in between. It felt like a marathon but is the best thing ever for any musician performer. Am now looking for my next target hahahahahah.
IM actually not busking so legally do not need a permit. I am a performer. I was lucky at Bondi Beach yesterday as at least 6 security guards walked past me . Am about to set up now just before the freeway interpass that hits the bridge going into the city of Sydney as I saw some trees there which will give some shade to my generator
