Thanks for all the reply's...

I was able to swap out he N3 for Fenders '57\'62 vintage pups & still retain the S1 switching.

The overall sound was more the vintage strat sound. The sustain still seems to be lacking & I have to say it's not exactly the same sound as my '62 vintage reissue.

I have to wonder if it is due to the S1 switching, or maybe the difference between the new American Deluxe V Neck & the '62 vintage (rosewood neck) reissue.

For example, wood, compound maple neck, modern tremolo assy, etc.

Any feed back would be greatly appreciated... Larry...

Raised the pickguard and see if it's routed HSH...that might be part of it. :idea:

Coming to the conclusion that the "Atomic" humbucker in my '10 AmDeluxe is more like "TNT." Good, balanced but kinda under powered.

That's what aftermarket mods are all about. Stand by for the favorites tsunami. We'll see what the FOF's recommend:wink:
