#2 - CS69s
#3 - Don Mares

I'd love to tell you all which is which but why ruin the fun of having everyone here guessing??

You'd be surprised to hear which one you like the best... I will tell you this, one of you already got all 3 right! I'm impressed!

Sorry, bluesstrat, you're kinda late ;) but you are correct!

I will guess that the CS 69's are #1.
Don Mare super sports #2.
Fralin Blues #3.

We have a winner! :D BTW you thought #1 was weak, those are the CS 69's, in case you're still thinking about getting those...

My favorites so far are the Don Mare, it's as good as it gets IMO! The Fralins are also great, but these SS are becoming my favorites.

Hi there.

I was going to say one or two, but after reading this thread and I have a set of 69's....well.

I would say that while i do have the 69's in the bridge and the neck, the middle is a custom shop Fat 50's revers polarity.
This give more bit to the middle pick up while giving the hum cancel in position's 2 and 4.

Hey there's a White Stripes tune right after the Sultan's of Swing tune and I think I know why. Your sample was played by my Itunes app...I'm thinking it just started playing the next tune on my list...

Still liked #3 since it sounds like my Dimarzios...

Sorry. What tone are you after and what made you decide on the 69s? They're not bad sounding actually, a lot of people like 'em... I think they're ok, but it's not really the tone I'm after, but I don't mind having 'em in one of my Strats, something different I guess.

I am looking for a vintage sound, but those just weren't as hot or full as I was hoping for in that example. I'm having some second thoughts now...plus I didn't find any good deals today.

50's or 60's? The Super Sports are great 60's pickups IMO, but they're a bit pricey compared to the 69s... but the tone I get from 'em is worth every penny!

This is probably the best demo of the SS
