I use D'Addario EXL 120+ (9.5-44) on all my strats. I've experimented with various brands of 9 & 10s but keep coming back to the D'Addario 9.5.

I've always used D'Addario 8-38s as I have small hands and do a lot of Albert King/Buddy Guy/Jimi Hendrix type bends.I've also found that they stay in tune better after extensive bending and whammy use and they hold their brightness longer than most.

I am absolutely amazed at how many people are using D'Addario strings.

Considering they only last me about an hour, i have never had so many string break where they are tied at the loop then D'Addario strings. I switched to Ernie Ball and almost never break a string.

Everyone who use's D'Addario, are you guys having good luck with them or do they beak often for you too?

9's on my strat and 10's on everything else.

10-46. I prefer the sound of 11s but I don't have the strength to control them.

My VG Stratocaster has the Gilmour Hybrid set on it to give me a little more 'chunk' out of the Baritone voicing. All the others have 9.5's. My Les Paul has 10's

9's on the Stagemaster and 10's on the Roadhouse and the Les Paul. Roadhouse is going up to 11's next change though.

I used to play 9s with the 9 replaced with a 10, but as of late I have some with 10s and some with 11s. I am finding that 11s work better with some of my strats and others don't work so well with the 11s.

10-46 Fender Original Bullets. I'd like to go heavier but I've been playing 10s for so long that I worry that a change would screw up my technique.

11s. They're one louder. Why I might make the move to 12 soon.

I'd love to use 12's for the volume and tone. I just cant play enough to work my fingers to that gauge. I use the a mix of strings gauge between 10's and 11's. I break 9's right off and occasionally the 10's. Lite Tops/Heavy Bottoms are an easy quick grab for me at the MS.
