Hey Jeff,

Nice Guitar you got there, love the pics.

BTW, that Chrysler color was called "Plum Crazy". And you are correct, it is quite close.

I am younger then you..but a MOPAR fanatic. I think the color you are referring to is "plum crazy"..but apparently this has a metal flake as well. I can't imagine it being anything but a sweet looking ax...congrats. A good friend of mine had a plum crazy 70 Cuda.

The old Mopar colors seem to go with Guitars...Steve Vai loved the "sublime"..which is a Mopar green. Considering the original Fenders used Dupont paint and 50's-60's GM colors..it is quite possible the color is similar to or exactly a classic car color.

That is exactly what I thought of when I saw that color. A neighbor of mine had a Barracuda that I remember was a very similar color (late 60s, early 70s). The Strat and Barracuda look awesome in that color! It might have been the 'Cuda, not sure, it was a few years ago. :D

I believe the color from Chrysler (if original) was only available from 1969 to 1973....either way..very good years for so many things. May be the reason they brought the color back for the 2010 Dodge Challenger. Timeless is as timeless does.
