God! I don't know how many hours I've spent in the last 50yrs. waxing sports cars, motorcycles, and guitars. It's something I love to do as much as using them for their intended purpose. Believe me, polish your guitars with Johnson's Paste Wax.

My 2000 Midnight Blue MIM Strat is currently a pile of parts (my first try at modifications, lol!), so I figured it would be the perfect time to get the body detailed. My son-in-law loves to detail cars, so I took it to him. This is what he used (that's a clay bar on the left):
