I've noticed that the Clapton Strat is no longer available in Candy Green.

For which reasons Fender dropped this colour from their pricelist?

When I got my strat, they had one that was being sold for the same price as my strat... I really should have got it :x

They also had that 2008 limited edition Am standard hss strat with the mahogany body, Deluxe style bridge, and LSR roller nut (with the transparent red finish and black headstock) I should have really gotten that instead of a normal 2008 Am standard HSS strat.

I've been regretting that a lot lately, but I'm still very happy with my strat. Wouldn't give it away for anything...

same here. all i knew about strats were they had 3 pickups vs 2 on a telecaster.
now im modding my strats, picking and choosing actual mundayne things that make a huge difference as a whole imho.
now i know what to look for in a strat, kinda like swirling the glass of vino, putting your nose to it, observing those wine legs.

Exactly! Its been a good year and I've enjoyed it here. :D
I had a big talk with my dad today at the dinner table about why tube amps are just awesome. He's mad that my '68 rocketreverb is in the shop, and he blames me for "moving it too much," and told me that I should have got a transition state amp.

its impossible to argue with my dad, but I asked him "why do most gigging musicians prefer tube amps over solid-state? and wouldn't you think they were designed to travel?"

I think I might tell him the next time we bicker over it "ok dad, the day I find a transition amp that sounds better than a '59 tweed bassman, I'll call you up and apologize for doubting you."

I wouldn't know about any of this stuff if it wasn't for this forum
