Overall I don't think it's much of a change, but I'm really glad they went to the vintage style bridge. It really improves the look of the Standard.

I agree. The American Standard should be the basic strat. Well made, good pickups, one volume, two tone, 5 way switch. The classic strat. The enhancements belong on other models.

Oh yeah.....And you should always be able to get one with 2 tone vintage burst and a maple neck.

Yeah, there should always be a Standard available that looks like a '57 that just came off the line.
