I just recorded and mixed a few tracks with my RW 60s Strat and a 5E3 circuit amp (deluxe) and was quite impressed with the sound. The mics were an modded Apex 210 and a Sure sm57. I hope you think it sounds good too.

Thanks in advance for listening, cheers, Stephen Joseph

Hey Bro, the strat sounds great. I love the single coil grit you got going.

Welcome to the forum!!

That bottled up track is awesome man. Without being rude can I ask are you influenced by Lenny Kravitz, You have great vocals man that would cut through a good band.

Hey what city and country are you located. :)

Thanks very much for your welcome, and the thoughtful comments. I think Lenny would fit into the tradition I would like to associate myself with. You know, just more of a focus on capturing emotional intensity and following the flow of grooves and themes. I guess there are a lot of players in that category, but they tend to speak to me best (Page, Beck, Santana, Frusciante, Trucks, Haynes et al.). We are located in Toronto, Canada. Where are you? Do you have a band there?

I really dig you're sound, very Torontoish sounding. Not sure how I made this connection, but a bit of Apostle of Hustle perhaps in there?

Hi again, That's awesome.

Yeah I am loctated in Adelaide South Australia.

I play in 3 bands.

My project that I created where I write the lyrics and music is Kineman Karma. I am lead Vocals/Guitar.

The other band is a friend of mine where I am Guitar/Vocals, and finally the 3rd is a Classic Rock Blues band that I have created where I am Lead Vocals/Guitar, we play covers and couple of originals I wrote.

Lots of fun using pro Fender/Gibson equipment and working with pro muso's. I love it!!

Hey will you be putting bass guitar on bottled up.

Wow that's quite a distance. It's summer there huh? It's freaking cold here dude. Keeps you inside writing and recording, however. But, hey, looks like you keep REAL busy. But, you know, playing in three bands, one might be able to actually eke out a living in this business. Send us a link to your tunes sometime m8.

Oh ya, there is bass on 'Bottled' it's just not mixed high on that tune. Perhaps I'll go back to the studio one day and bring it up some.

Jamanon says we have a Torontoish sound. That's funny, I never really noticed we have a sound here as there are so many acts, but perhaps he has a point. Apostle is a cool band so I'll take the comparison.

Well, time to head out for beers, talk soon, Stephen

Thanks a bunch mang -- there is such a vast pool of musicians here, but I do find a helluvalot of stuff is merely attempting to emulate an already worn out formula. Though nobody is free of influence, it's nice to hear the occasional act that at least strives for a bit of a unique sound. I am suspecting you are Canadian (saw the Godin guitar and the CBC 3 thing) or from the closely bordering states.

Gotta love those Fenders though huh? So many possible sounds, feels, textures!

Have a cool day, best, Stephen Joseph
