I may get a '57 Hot Rod neck from The Stratosphere for my AVRI 57. Does anyone know how different or how similar the V may be on the two necks. If I could get a neck with the back of it just like my 57 and the fret board the same as my 2010 Am Standard, I think I would have my ideal strat.

no, its slightly thinner.

No the Hr's soft V is a lot softer than the AVRI's V.

You'd need to add wood to bring it to that pointed back shape. Which makes it as near impossible to do convincingly as I can imagine.

The V on my AVRI really isn't pointed. It's very subtle. I'm thinking I should go find a Hot Rod and see for myself. It may be considered pointed when compared to the HR though, huh? Last time I was In Guitar Center, they didn't have one in there.
