Is the sonic blue color on the classic players 60 strat lighter than the sonic blue on the 2010 FSR american standard strat?

On all the on line sights the CP60s strat looks almost white.

I have the FSR american standard strat in Sonic blue. I just got it a few weeks ago. yes, the 60's classic player is way lighter than the FSR sonic blue. I like the FSR sonic better.

Then what's the point of calling both Sonic Blue?
I'm looking for the color most like the Beatles strats from the mid 60s and the FSR AS seems to be closest.
Can anyone confirm that?

I had a early '65 Sonic Blue that faded to a light greenish color like surf green I think it is,those two greens always confuse me...anyway,I'll try to look at the guitars in question and see what I think.
Online colors sometimes don't look the same as when you see them in person.

I thought the Beatles's guitars were Daphne Blue?

No I remember the Beatle Strats as Sonic blue, but Daphne and Sonic are very close,I really don't see why Fender has bothered with both over the years.
Really,I liked the faded look of my '65 so much that I've considered getting a Foam green or Surf, whichever is closest to the faded look of the Sonic.
I looked at the color chart on the website and the Sonic blue is close to the '60s to the best of my memory...what is an FSR Strat?

"Fender Special Run"

Where the company builds a certain number of instruments with specific features at the behest of some retailer (Sam Ash, GC, MF, etc).

That looks like the traditional Sonic Blue that I'm familiar with.

Oh,I have a "FSR"....a 1959 from Wildwood,duh. :)
Yep the FSR is the closest to the originals....and that's a good pic of Lennon with his...looked like mine, wish I had a good pic of mine but sadly I don't,never thought much about it.
Who would have thought they would be like the valuable vintage pieces they are today...would you have Arjay??

Sometimes in certain light it almost looks like surf green. cool color for sure. I have been waiting for a strat like this. Even has thin skin nitro finish. I bought it the first day it was available...
