:D
got a good deal on hr 57, used, some light relicing done to it by previous owner.
feels good, sounds phenomenal.
nikininja was right, i compared it to my american v neck deluxe, the pickups sound very different.
imho, i really really do like the scns on both.
oh yeah, PICS

Nice subtle flame on the back of the neck, very classy.

I've a little bit of flame on the first fret of the neck on mine. Nice to photograph and shows up nice on stage photos. The flame looks like a light source. Nowhere near as pretty as that though.

Well done. Glad you like it. Very different guitar aint it.

nik, this guitar has B@LLS. love the out put on the bridge.
the flame on the neck was one of the 1st things i noticed, so i had to photograph that for
you guys.
the frets dont appear to be worn at all, yet there is some relicing on the body.
i think the previous owner tried to relic it a little.

those that are still waiting for theres brand new, worth the wait.
i got it on thursday, so ive been waiting a couple of days to show ya..

Doesn't look at all aged to me. Rather that the (very very) very thin finish is starting to patina, rather than check. Notice the kind of textured effect on the forearm cutout. Exactly like mine, which has been cared for and molly coddled for two and a half years now.

Expect to pick up mine from The Music Zoo on the 8th ,after my return from Florida. FYI...find your way to Bill Lawrence's website and an article by Dan Smith on the how and why of the development of the SCN pickups.

Now that is a hansom looking Strat. Congrats!

I really like Fenders choice of pickups for that model.

Enjoy!

Andy

See now heres the bad thing. I want a sunburst one now, and may as well add a black one too. I want to see if the black bleeds into the amber in years to come. Like the old 335's and LP's bleed the colour into the binding.

My customclassic bleeds red onto the neck. But I think that is just paint from the neck pocket that hasn't been clearcoated. It doesn't stain, just wipes off.

Beautiful guitar, the old split post Kluson style tuners are the best by far and I'd rather have them on a Strat than any others.
