They had a Mexican Floyd Rose strat in 2004 with a 70's headstock. I've the product catalogue for that year...

Thanks nikininja, i didn't know that. :) Was the truss rod adjust at the headstock end on those? I know what you mean about the eyes. It seems that the longer that I look at pictures on my computer, the more blurry they become.....it must be the computers fault.

Nick, Thanks for being a voice of reason. I reviewed my post and edited it to say hundreds [of fakes made] monthly instead of daily. Really, I don't know how many fake Strats a ripoff shop can turn out in a year, a month, a day, or even before lunch.

A small guitar shop recently opened up near my place so I became interested in guitars again, after many years of not being interested. Doesn't every guy want to play a blues guitar solo on a Strat at some point in his life? Perhaps that is on my bucket list.

Thanks to all for your help in this matter.

No need for post editing mate. Theres a whole world out there that we only see a small part of, no matter where were sat. It's far more important that as decent people we treat everyone with a bit of respect. Not because of who they are, but because of who we are.

With that in mind. If anything it is I who should commence with a bit of editing. Once again my apologies.

What I would ask you to consider carefully is the plight of sweatshop labour.
Do we as members of the rich west
A; Boycott sweatshop produced products. Rendering the employees eventually unemployed.
B; Continue to purchase sweatshop produced products, keeping said mistreated employees in work. Albeit in poor conditions for poor pay.

For that reason alone, I really rate the likes of Behringer. That city they built is clean, has good living conditions and amenities. And they pay their workers a fair rate for the state of their national economy. Say what you like about their products, their world leaders in fair play.

Just got a pic of the serial, it's MZ3004897.
2003/2004 apparently?

Ok thanks to the serial no' and another request from a user about 2005 catalogue content. We've found the culprit.

It is a Mexican Deluxe series HSS Floyd Rose strat.

Heres the page, sorry if it comes out too big. I'm trying to get it as clear as possible for DoctorMikey. If it's not clear and you want the scan of the page, just email me at nikininja@ntlworld.com

What I would say about the prospective purchase is to pay close attention to the headstock and the logo. Also make sure that the FloydRose bridge hasn't been swapped for a lesser liscenced Floyd Rose copy bridge. They are nice expensive things that sell for well over $150 on this side of the pond.
