First electric was in about 1963 or so. Brand new Epiphone Wilshire with a couple single coils and a vibrato tailpiece. All in all, sort of a lame guitar, so I'm amazed that Gibson has seen fit to reissue these things. They were rather lightly built. Anything vintage, I guess.

Be kind of like reissuing some of my old girlfriends...BAD PLAN!

I wonder when they'll reissue the Sonex?

It was a Red with chrome Humbuckers and hardware "Ventura" copy of Gibson 336 with Bigsby type tremelo tail and rosewood fretboard

My brother procured it for me from come college friend a LSU about 1974 and I kept it until about 1986 or so.

Yes, I wish I still had it.

Starcaster purchased at Costco 4 years ago. Still have it and play it once in a while. For the price not a bad guitar and more importantly it proved out my desire to learn how to play.

I really hate when this subject comes up.... All it does is make me think about my first guitar and that I sold it many years ago for almost nothing when I thought I wasn't going to play anymore.....

It was a 1965 Fender Mustang that I bought used around 1971 I think. That along with a mid 60's Fender bassman with the matching cabinet.

I dont feel so well.....

1998 Yamaha F-310 acoustic. Still have it and play it very often. So glad I learned to play on Acoustic...made electric seem like it played itself.

A blue/green hand me down Washburn with one Humbucker. It was in 1992. I let my brother keep it after I got a Stratocaster and I think my brother pawned it or destroyed it.

My first electric was an MIJ Dover(the only one I've ever seen or heard of) I got it new for Christmas 1967 along with a Paul amp.The guitar is a 3/4 Fender Jazzmaster type body with wide white plastic single coils with weird triangular metal tabs where the magnets usually are.I still have both and despite many years of playing both are in near mint condition. No relicing for this guy.

First electric was a crappy SG coppy that I traded in on a MIM strat about 15 years ago. I never really like it and didn't realize that the issues I had could have been solved with a good setup. The strat is gone as well as I sold it a couple years ago because I wanted 3 single coils vice the one I had with a HB in the bridge. In the long run I probably should have kept it and had a good setup done but oh well.
