hi all, i have some issue here,, i just upgrade my old pickups to tone zone s (neck), velvet (middle)and chopper s(neck).. they were all new xcept the velvet(used)..

my questions:
The wiring for both hum cancelling is the same.. red is hot, blk+white, green n bare to ground, what about the velvet since it only a 2 conductor wiring? do i put it reverse (out of phase) so that in the 2 and 4 position it will become a hum cancelling coils? the reason i ask is i get a humm/buzz in 2,3 and 4 position only ..the 1 and 5 are "super quiet"... i cant resolve this till now,, i assumed my "2 hand" velvet is out (permenantly damage)!!!

please help me out guy...thx

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but due to the fact that the Velvet is not a humbucker, you will not get the humbucking effect in positions 2 through 4. Reversing its wires would put it out of phase with the other two pickups, causing a volume and bass drop along with even more hum. For the Velvet to do what you require, it would have to have been manufactured reverse wound and reverse polarity to the other two where the odds are overwhelming that the one you have is neither.
