Its made in Japan between 84 and 87, and i'm quite sure it has the original finish-refinishes are pretty easy to tell. It has a very very light finish though, I can dent it with my fingernail.
I believe the pickguard isn't original though.
The 3 bolt neck was converted into a 4 bolt neck.

anybody know what this could be? body wood, what colour this is called, etc.

There may be a number stamped in the neck pocket that can help Identify what model it is. My best guess on the color would be Butterscotch. Looks like the body is alder to me, but it might also be basswood.
