Anyone using a KGC trem block (KillerGuitarComponents.com) in their Strat? I'm thinking of replacing the cheapo in my MIM Roadhouse. Check out the testimonial section on their website for a demo.

I've got a KGC brass block in my Strat and am very happy with it. The increase in sustain is considerable and I like what it has done to my tone: it's warmed up the trebles but at the same time made them more clearly defined and I'm able to cut through the mix without making anyone's ears bleed.

One word of warning: a brass block has a distinctly different effect on tone to a steel block and is not to everyone's taste. You need to be sure that the brass block tone is what you are after.

+1 That is four sure.

Steele on a MIM synchronised tremolo will make it a lillte more clear than the factory block, It will appear that the high notes sound brighter and overall more resonance.
