Do any of you guys get a lot of fret buzz on your standard strats? I have done everything to my action, inotation, and truss to try and fix it... now it ony buzzes when I play chords, it very rarely buzzes on single notes, is this normal?

I would take it to a pro and have them do a set-up, it's money well spent.

There is a fine line between having low action and notes/ strings fretting out or buzzing. We have 3 MIM strats and a AM ST. strat in the house and I can tell you that none of them have any fret buzz. On my personal strat the action is extreamly low with out any fret buzzing. It was set up by my guitar tech at the local music store. Like I said I do alot of my own maintance but I let him do my set-ups.

Basic setups are not difficult and you should learn how to do it or have a basic knowlege of how so you will be able to pin point or have a good idea of how to pinpoint a problem. Go to stewmac.com and you'll find info. Once you know the basics you'll begine to figure out your playing style and will be able to give the person setting up your guitar more info of how you want your guitar to feel, play and sound.

I believe they say fret buzz is ok if you don't hear it thru the amp.
Good Luck
