I've posted this on Mike Eldred forum, but just in case he doesn't reply I put it here too. I went to a shop today and saw an Am Standard that was slightly different form mine in the body shape. So, since I bought my Am Standard Strat in a local shop, it made me wonder whether the body is the original one. If it is, I was wondering, what are all the small holes around the big circular pool in the neck pocket for?

Hi vlastablackmore,

From what I can see in the pictures that is an Am Std body. The extra holes in the neck pocket are used to hold the body to a board while painting and handling. Although usually there are only two extra holes there, there can be more sometimes. Compare to the link below of an Am Std body. :)

Sometimes the neck pocket has some holes in that were used to hold it when its being painted.
