You know,the first time I looked at that it just didn't look right with the black p/g.....but you're right it grows on you,I think it looks godd and would keep it that way.
I have a LPB Strat,and I'm just used to the parchment guard that's on it,I was wanting to put a mint green p/g,but now might consider others.
Whatever I do,I just like the fact that you CAN change the p/gs. to suit your fancy.

Thanks, you might be right. It's the same as when I bought it in 85 but now it resides with my daughter!! You know how that goes.

cedarblues - If it was mine, I'd go with mint green, but since it's yours, I vote to keep it black.

My vote is definitely for the white guard.

LPB strats with white guards are iconic.

everytime i look at it, i love it more in black.
