Shes beautiful!!!! 3 tone Sunburst. The finish is gorgeous and she sounds amazing. She feels sooooo much lighter than my 2009 MIM. Must be the finish. The Jumbo frets are not bad at all, in fact I dont feel much of a difference compared to my MIM standard strat medium jumbo.

Oooh, thats nice! Good looking burst on that one. :D

I wish I'd snapped up one of the first HW1 models with the small headstock.

Enjoy your new Strat!

Andy

I did...like the small headstock better, but just personal preference. That's a nice git you got there, zeni.

Is the Hwy1 series being discontinued? I see many of the online sites are indicating so.

THanks... I dont know if they're really being discontinued. Mine is a 2010 The serial # starts with US10XXXXXX which to me means they are or were still making it in 2010. I heard some concerns on this site, but that would be a shame if it was discontinued. Its a beautiful Guitar!

I have the same one. Upgraded the pickups with Seymour Duncan stacks and installed a Graphtech nut.

Great guitars. Big headstocks rock!

Nice guitar, congrats. I bought the same one but in honey blonde - couldn't resist the temptation to shine up the finish. Oh, and a set of Seymour Duncan Alnico 2 Pro p/ups.

Whether it be stock or as a modding platform, the Highway is a fine strat that does everything you need, and looks good too.

Me too. A great bargain for a USA Stratocaster.

The Glossy Finish is a DIY project too.
