Hi There.

Mr. Smith, it is not possible to answer your question here with the limited information you have provide, we would need to know....

1) What is a Stinger strat?
2) Is this pick up a neck or bridge?
3) Do you have a new pick guard?
4) Can you proved pictures?
5) How good are you with tools?

sorry bout that
but to answer your questions;
a stinger is an old electric made by c.f.martin from the 80's till about 95. but, i pick up this guitar from a pawn shop when i was living in Portland. so i dont know what exactly was done to it or the year. however, i can tell the previous owner changed out a lot of stuff. the pick guard appears to be newer but im not sure how new. As for the pick ups stingers were sold as a standard strat s-s-s set up but this one has a h-s-s like a fender fat strat. i was thinking about changing out the humbucker, its been giving me some trouble, but would like to keep it, i just dont know how it would effect the sound. i can provide pictures and will put some up shortly is there anything particular your looking for?im good with tools but im new to the wiring end of all this. which is why some of the things im saying might not make sense.

Tele bridge pickups are too wide/fat to fit in a strat pickguard without cutting. If your guitar is SSS routed, you may have to remove some wood too.

Not the kind of thing I'd want to be doing to any Martin. Keep it original and look after it mate. It will make in years to come, on the name alone.

he did mention it has a humbucker in the bridge, so no need to do any routing to the wood, but tele bridge pups mount different than humbuckers so it would require a diff. guard and some modifications.

Anything can be made to fit anything, but proper placement is key to tone.

Each pick up in the Fender guitar is placed over a harmonic spot on the string to give the best tone. The tremolo bridge will not let the Telie bridge pick up be put in the correct place, so in that case the answer would be no.
