I'm working on a Stratocaster that has the 60th Anniversary metal circle logo w/ 60 diamond stamp on the back of the headstock...Ser No.Z6019031...It has a Silver Fender Spaghetti logo on front. Neck plate reads Fender Corona, California. The middle pickup tone control has a special "notch" where at 10 the tone becomes quite brilliant.

My real question is ....is the middle pickup reverse polarity and reverse wound? Customer wants to install the Suhr BPSSC but it doesn't work with r/wound, r/polarity pickup in middle!

Thanks for your help.

AFAIK, all genuine Fender pickups with RW/RP configuration use a yellow lead-in wire to the bobbin.

+ 1 Retroverbial. If the middle pickup is RWRP, you will have noise canceling in position 2 and 4. More than likely it is RWRP. :)

Hi Steve. From your description, you have a plain ol' 2006 American Series Strat. So yes the middle pickup is RWRP. All Fender guitars and amps had that little 60th Anniversary button in 2006 (the 'special edition' 60th Anny Am Series is different than your description).

p.s. The "notch" on the middle/bridge pickup tone control is a no-load pot. Turn it to 10 and it's out of the circuit. Fender calls it the DeltaTone System and it's been stock since 2000 on the Am Series and then the Am Stds in 2008.
