Is there any difference between a 2001 made strat against a higher/latest models, in terms of longevity of the body and parts?

The MIMs were upgraded in 2006 I believe.

The MIAs in 2008 perhaps?

Without knowing the price, I have no idea if it's a good buy or not. Judging by my local craigslist prices for early 2000's MIM Stds for $200 it's a steal. For $250 it's a great deal. For $300 you did OK.

Difference in longevity...No. Difference in details...Yes. Today's MIM Stds have shielding paint in the body cavity, different headstock logo, different trem block. Anything else I'm missing?
