My Squier 51 project is nearing the end so I had to find another project....

It's not a strat, but I thought I would share. I found a Aria Pro II from the 80's for $45 that needed to be put back together and cleaned up. The guy had it in pieces in the pics, but when I got there it was pretty much put back together. I need to take it apart anbd clean it though, and it all needs to be wired back together and it's missing a jack.

It has a 500 k pot on the volume and a push pull pot. I'm not sure how it was wired originally. Anyone know how it would of most likely been wired?

Also I bought that MIJ 54 reissue a few weeks ago and it came in an old beat up SKB hardshell case. I wanted to get a nice Fender tweed case for it, but they're kind of expensive. I saw a old case the guy had that looked similar to the original 54 for fit case. He was selling it for $20 so I bought it. It's not exactly like the original form fit case, it's shaped a litttle different, and faces the oposite way, but it has a similar vibe, so it'll do for now until I can get a Fender Tweed case. Let me know what you think.

I don't know, there's no tags or labels on the case. The guy said it was a 70's fender case, but I don't think he's correct.

That's a great find. If that's an original Kahler Tremolo form the 80s it could be worth a lot. And that Fender strat is very nice.

As for the case, rectangular tweeds are nice, and the black tolex covered white piping ones are cool too. That tabaco burst Fender would look real nice in gold (yellow) or red velvet.

Try to get one with the big raised Fender chrome emblem.

Although, not as visually apealing, I personaly like a good well padded gigbag (much lighter). Fender strats are build very strong.
