I was wondering if it is possible to order a neck from the custom shop?
I really like the neck from the 60's relic. I played one in the store last week and it was butter, love the worn rosewood. I loved the guitar but not the $2700 cdn price tag for a used one(barely used).

I guess basically I'm looking for a little neck(7.25"), c or v shaped with a rose wood fret board. I got small hands and the neck on my Hwy 1(from 2002, I believe) is a little big for me, although I dont know what size it is.

Can anyone recommend a good neck for me, without spending a fortune.

Thanks

Anything from the American vintage series?....you should really just go and try some guitars at the shop and see what you like most.

well i like how the Vintage 62 strat is. i think it plays great got a c shape neck as well. but it usually starts with figuring out what style your goin for when you play a guitar . i guess im pretty much sayin is no one can really tell you what you like or what you want like what sandwich is sayin. but i can recommend the 62. its got rosewood as well.

Thanks guys.

I m looking for a rosewood fretboard C or Soft V shape. With a radius of 7.25". I ve got smaller hands so I seem to get around these necks a little easier.

Is it possible to order one of the necks from Fender that they put on the Custom Shop Strats? i.e. the 60's relic neck?

I guess the biggest question is does Fender even sell necks to the general public?

From everything I understand, the answer is no. Fender will not sell necks by themselves. The only way that they will give you a neck is if yours was defected and they warrenty a identical neck from what I understand.
