Hi, TS808 sound pretty good with a strat IMO.

Anyone heard a direct (live) comparason between analogman's silver mod and keeley's ?

I once liked the TS 808 reissue, and had 2 original TS9 from the early 80s, but I only used them when playing lower volumes. I did a BYOC Overdrive II build about 2 years ago, and have sold all my Tube Screamers. Don't get me wrong. I'm not bashing Tube Screamers. They are great sounding pedals for specific formats. I did a A&B side by side (that's how I had it on my board for several months). I could make the BYOC ODII sould just like the TS808. In addition, the BYOC OD II has MOSFET boost and the mods Keely uses. The BYOC which is a TS808 Modded sounds great with all my Fender Strats.

It's like the search for the ideal sound never ends.
