I'm looking at this strat on ebay. He says it's an American strat from 03 thats been refinished. Was there a transluscent blonde offered on the American series in 03? Or could it possibly be a mix matched body and neck. The pickguard is 3-ply and the tremelo cover looks to be 1-ply. Could that be a 57 reissue body on a different neck. Will someone please look at this and see what you think? And isn't there usually a Quality Control persons name stamped in the neck pocket?
Did highway ones come in that color in '03?

It doesn't look like a 57 reissue body, and I am certain that it can not be an Am Std body (6 screw bridge). I can believe a Highway One satin finish body in that color, not a refinish. I believe that the Highway One finishes were thin satin finish nitro. It seems odd that the person selling it doesn't know what it is though. But, call or email Fender with the serial number and they should be able to give you specifics.
