So I got a new AM start I then I just found that the end of the heel was cut at an angle and this makes the neck plate look crooked in though it's not! It kinda bugs me ya know?

Looks weird!

I'd obsess on it too. Right up until the day I returned it for exchange.

Better pic. The other was at a bad angle and was misleading.

Note. The plate is straight, It's just the wood that's cut at a slant.

Yeah, that's not going to work out well over time. Hopefully you can return it.

guess we should be looking for mexican strats if we want decent quality. That's really disappointing, I would be miffed if I had that issue with one of mine. Back to the retailer, receipt in hand seems appropriate.

I boxed it up, and I'm probably going to take it back tomorrow!

I've been trying to buy a second guitar for 6 six years now, and this is the third being returned.

The idea was to convert my current strat to Hss, and the replacement was to be the "traditional standard" strat. Perhaps I should go more vintagefor my traditional one? Any recommendations?

I'm about to give up on Fender............................

I got refunded this morning, so that nightmare is no more.

Now what? I'm thinking more vintage? I'd love a Vintage bridge, but not too hot on the Vintage frets. I looking at a possible Eric Johnson, a AV57RI, and a MIM 50's Classic.

I just don't know, and i'm getting gun shy.

I have to say they had a Classic Vibe 50's Squeir. WEow, It was the coolest looking strat they had, Felt ok too, and the price is like a freebe!

But man, I don't know if I want to move to a squeir?

the squier vintage vibe are awesome guitars.
its cool to have as abackup, think it through, you may kick yourself in the $@! if you miss the oppurtunity to buy a vintage strat like a avri, look for a used avr hr 62, AWESOME strat. or even the clapton strat.
although the eric johnson is an amazing strat in itself, vintage yet RAWKS the crap out of a tube amp.

If you like that model guitar why not get another. It is not every guitar that ends up being botched on the line.

That sunburst body looks awesome. The guy who drilled it has ruined that strat. Bugger!
