Good morning.I have a Stratocaster Mexican with a MZ6+ 6 digits.Fender website does not cover 6 digits.Please advise of year wit serial number MZ6210430.

The ones with more numbers had better tone. I scribbled another 7 digits onto the end of mine and now it sounds much better. I'm planning on adding another 4 numbers soon.

No not really I made that bit up.


It is a 2006. Some had 5 digits, some had 6. The serial no' listing used to say MZ4 (or whatever year) and 5 or 6 digits. That bit of wording got lost when the website was redesigned.

Actually I think this is true. Another way of getting better tone out of a strat is to place stickers with the letters SRV on it. I did it and it made a world of difference in the sound of my guitar. I used ones from Lowes... I tried some from Home Depot and they just didn't have that sound I was going for.....
