I was looking at all the build projects on here and was wondering..... Would a mexican neck fit a 97 squier body? would it matter what year or anything also?

Should fit ok mate. The most important thing to consider is the scale length of the guitar. Providing both the original guitar and replacement neck are 25.5" scale length there shouldnt be too much trouble. Maybe a little sanding work on the neck pocket if it's too tight.

I have a heavily modified American Strat with a MIM neck. The guitar is a screamer. No issues with tuning, intonation, etc.
