So Phil, did you get the codes off the pot's yet? If so, what are they?

I'm getting intrigued.

Should happen soon. Put new strings on it a couple of weeks ago and I'm such a cheap bast*rd that I wanted to wear them down first but I'm also intrigued and it was a cheap set of strings. Been wanting to try coated strings so this is the chance!

I know it well mate. I'm exactly the same way. Rather than religeously change strings every two weeks, or straight after a gig as I used to do. Now I just keep em very clean. I'm up to 6 months with the set on my no1, their still shiney.

I loosen strings off, capo the first fret and remove the neck. Rather than remove strings. A good tip if you want to get in and out quick without anyone knowing. Kind of like the SAS method of guitar tinkering.

That's a great idea! This is turning out to be kinda like a bit of a treasure hunt.

I often remove the pickguard without removing the strings. Just loosen the strings a lot (and maybe use that capo trick to keep the strings together).
