I play every day. If I can't get an hour, or a half-hour away from the kids and the taking care of everyone else, I still play for five minutes. I'm almost superstitious about it. Where did all this music come from anyway? Got to stay with the guitar everyday or it starts to fade and you stop getting better everyday. Only time I don't play is if I'm out of town without a guitar.

Fellow cancer survivor - it can be beat. I had a 50 percent chance to live 5 years. Nice thing is I thought it was 98 percent and so I never worried, but it was only 50 percent. Oops. That was 7 years ago and now it's not likely to come back and they call me cured. If you live, that's how they know you're cured. Keep playing. I'm better since, due to some neurological stuff from the chemo that rewired me to be even more musical. Now, music's everything to me.

superdanxter babies love guitar. Have to roll back on the volume/gain and move over to some worship music sounding stuff like El Shaddai and other open d or d minor or g arpeggio based stuff. Actually that's some pretty music also. Puts him right to sleep and then it's back to the blues.

When I was younger, a couple hours a day. Moer recently, now that I'm far from my musician friends, it has been maybe a few hours a week. Since I started doing plugin development (computer programming) several years back, I've had scarcely that amount of play - been known to work 8, 16, 20, 24 hours straight. Now that I'm established, I'll be playing more. Starting lessons tomorrow to get back on track after all of these years of slacking (and doing classical instead of electric). Wish me luck.
