Doe anyone else have a problem like this? While playing my fingers rub the pickguard and I get an incredible static distortion that tracks my fingers rubbing. When I just rub I here the static distortion. If I moisten my fingers it goes away. I know that this is a static charge being developed on the pickguard. After the fingers dry out the noise returns. Do I have a gounding problem? I know that single coils do not cancel out noises but this is an annoying static charge. Does anyone have a similar problem or a solution? Iam positive it is the static charge generated by the fingers. What the heck do I need to wear a ground strap while playing???????

put a fabric softner sheet under the pickguard that should fix it right up
