A question for all you experts. I have just been given what looks to be a 3/4 size Fender Stratocaster. It is Mexican made and is not a Squire but says Fender Stratocaster on the head. I've tried to find out about this guitar but can't find any information on the Fender site or anywhere actually. Anybody know anything about it and if you can still get them?

You have a Mexican made shortscale Strat. Serial# Z4.... indicates 2004. You can't find anything on the website because it was discontinued a few years ago.

Thanks for the info. Any idea what they are worth on the secondhand market? All though this is on permanent loan I really should for this and don't want to short change my friend.

thanks

This guitar is weird to me because I am so used to having two tone knobs. Go MIM's!

I had one of those about 8 years ago... the body was plywood on mine. sounded dead.. I payed 120.00 new from musicians friend.. sold it immediately at a loss. Fender still makes one similar and carries the squier logo. and those seem to be better guitars and are only 99.00 new

Cheers
