So I have yet to post photos of my guitars. So here they are.

Image
Here's the lot of them

Image
1992 MIM Standard strat

Image
A partscaster named El Parto

Image
MIM Robert Cray from I forget when. It sounds awesome though.

Image
1995 '57 AVRI loaded with Texas Specials. It too sounds awesome

Image
My current project. It will probably end up on ebay in parts.

All of that gets played through the polarizing Hot Rod Deluxe amp. I have a Performer 1000 head that needs a speaker cab. Once I have the speaker cab, I want to try the two amp set up.

I must say that of all those, my favorite strat is the '92 MIM. She has been with me from the beginning (that would be 1992). I had to pull weeds at $3/hr to earn enough money to buy her. Though all the other strats cost more money, the '92 is worth the most in my eyes.

Wow! That 92 looks sweet! I like how dark it looks. Nice collection!

What is wrong with the project guitar?

Oh, nothing is wrong with it, just running low on cash and still need a nut, machine heads and string tree. I think about parting it out again, but then the light catches the color on the body just right and it says "Paul...you wouldn't abandon me would you? We could have something really wonderful if you would just finish putting me together." I don't really know if I have it in me to sell it, but of those pictured it is the only one I am okay with letting go.

Thanks. El Parto is Charcoal Frost Metallic. I have the original '57 pickups in it from the AVRI in the pictures. The wiring is from a Highway 1. It has a real clean bell tone in the 2 position that is really cool (or so I think).

Hi gromitt99: what I like about the way you've got them hanging on the wall is you have left plenty of space to put more in between. That's thinking ahead. 8)

But wait - you've got some of my CDs. So that's where they got to - give them back!

:D - C

Edit: bizarre typo

I love El Parto, and you know you just have to finish the blue project. You think you can let it go now, but you'll regret it once it's gone.. :(

But after looking at your collection, the big question must surely be..

What the hell are you doing with a fax machine??!! :?

Actually, I can think of logical banking security type reasons for that, even in this day and age. Though I've only heard of those particular procedures amongst people who have very select, highly private banking arrangements. Not for mere mortals like us.

So that's how this gear is being paid for...

Cheers - C

lol..

NO mystery or juicy epithet I'm afraid, the truth is far more boring. I combined two posts into the one that you see above. Then found I couldn't delete the redundant one, as the delete option had disappeared.

Visually it takes a bit of getting used to (I did toy with the idea of a pro re-fin until I got some quotes!), and it's certainly nothing like the US or Mexican build Torros, but it's a great guitar. Korean, but nicely built. Features high end Seymour Duncan pickups as stock - SH1 in the neck and SH14 Custom in the bridge. I live with the sports car stripe just for the fantastic sound - somewhere between a Les Paul and an SG but with Fender bite and snap.
