So here is what I am thinking of doing to my beloved Std Strat. I am going to put Rumplestiltskin pickups in. In order to get a variety of tones I will be doing the following:

Bridge-Hot wired single coil to Texas Special specs
Mid- Single coil wound to CS 57/62 specs RWRP
Neck- Single coil Gypsy (equivalent to CS69)

Now, I am also thinking of wiring it all together with a push push switch that will
1. When in the "normal" position provide normal Strat 5 Way pickup selection (B, BM, M, MN, N)
2. When in the "abnormal" position allow me to select Bride and Neck together to get a kind of Tele sound out of it (I hope).

Has anyone done something like this and more importantly know of a wiring diagram I can use for this?

That's a cool mod. Go for it! Here's a wiring diagram: http://www.guitarelectronics.com/product/WDUSSS5L1204

You may also want to consider changing the standard Volume pot to an SI volume switch.

That sounds pretty much like the stock Deluxe Players Strat wiring configuration. You can find that schematic here on the Fender site under "resources". You might try to score a DPS pickguard on Ebay -- it will have provisions for the push-button and may include the switch as well. Then just plug in your chosen pickups and wire them to a set of 250K pots and tone caps.

Sounds like a great plan, HTH

The Volume SI switch would render the push/push switch obsolete, I have a DPS and I deleted the switch, switched to SCN pups and will also add a TBX tone.
This will make this strats 3rd wiring reincarnation.

The wiring schematics for this mod is on the Fender Technical Specs page.

Thanks for all the great comments and suggestions. I want to make sure I understand something.

I looked at the wiring and switching diagram for the DPS. That is exactly what I want to do. From reading the posts here, it seems I can use a volume S1 switch instead of the completely separate switch found on the DPS, is this correct. I would rather the switch be incorporated into one of the control knobs for esthetics.

TBX hmmm have to read up on that one...
