...about something like this : :?

http://item.rakuten.co.jp/ikebe/fender_japan_st-tb/

I'd have to reverse that input jack, but the Tele headstock works.

That input jack would be enough to scare me away! Was there a price somewhere that U missed - or couldn't understand?

Nice looking, but too scary for me.

If I were to get one, and I would. I'd prefer a more striking colour and maybe a lefthanded telecaster neck on a righthanded strat body. Also I've long been fascinated by the tele bridge. I think having that on a strat would be perfect.

Whoa! What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is that?
That jack is funky! For $1150 .

There was a thread a few weeks back about someone who had one of these types of guitars...strat body and tele neck. He was wondering if it was rare.
Never mentioned the jack inside out, sort of...

My understanding is that Fender prohibits sale of Japanese strats to USA. It's not a model that Fender USA makes.

I'm not even sure if it's a legit add? No mention of it on the Ishibashi web site anymore. :?:

hmmmm... Could you get tele necks that fit Strat pockets (like a warmoth build or something)

I think it looks pretty awesome, but I wouldn't be able to stand the input jack. What would happened if you got a little crazy playin', and you hit it a little too hard??? :?

Nice bod. The Tele headstock doesn't offend me, but it does nothing for me either.

The output jack is just a piece of silliness. Easily put right.

...Have you seen the Fernandes Yellow Heart further down the page? Now that's MY idea of a yuk guitar!

http://item.rakuten.co.jp/ikebe/fernand ... -heart_zo/

I notice the soft case says "hide" on the front. Too right!

Cheers - C

Back in the early 70s, many of us used to reverse the input to accomodate these EH devices :

EH followed up with various other FX with the same design casing (orange sqeeze compressor, yellow zonker, etc) and they were about $15 each at the time...look at that price now! I might have a couple stored away somewhere?

That might have been one of the first mods done to Strats, aside from 'notching' the 3-way selector?

There wasn't much choice for pup swaps back then, they either worked or they didn't. :?

I agree! I have wanted a Tele that had some body relief and forearm relief, maybe even a top mount jack. A complete Tele bridge, Tele pickguard pickups and controls, and a Tele neck on a Strat body would be very cool. 8) Does Fender make a Tele body with reliefs like a Strat?

The Tele neck is definitely a cool touch...And I've never seen anything with the inside out jack before...apparently that was all before my time.
