Does anybody know if Fender is offering a retrofit upgrade of the GK-2a pickup to the GK-3 on the Roland Ready Strat? I really don't like the GK-2a on my Roland Ready strat and I hear the GK-3 is much better at tracking. Would love to upgrade the guitar and make use of the synth feature. I have a US built Roland ready strat and I love the guitar, but I'm not getting all I could from it because of the GK-2a. I really need the GK-3. Can anyone help?

You can get the GK-KIT-GT3 which is the kit form of the GK-3

I´ve 3 GK3 on my strat and LP´s and 1 GK3 kit on my old tele.All work perfect,but I bought white strat (blonde ´56 CS) and I need white MIDI pickup.GK3 are only black.If you can exchange your GK2 and my GK3,let me know... .Apologize for my English,I´m from Czech Republic,EU.Thx,Joe

I bet that Eric Clapton will love the GR55, which is far better than the old GR700 he used back in the mid 80s. Hope that the Custom Shop will install the GK3 pickup on one of his personal guitars if he decides to resurrect the famous synth ballad "Never Make You Cry" from the "Behind The Sun" album for his upcoming tours.
