hey guys just wondering if anyone has a good technique to keep frets clean? I have really sweaty hands when i play and my frets get full of crud and almost appear oxidized. I use the fret buffer cloth in a dunlop cleaning kit to clean them but was just wondering what you guys use?

I use masking tape to mask off the fretboard, and then polish them with 0000 steel wool. Seems to work really well.

I use The coarse non metallic scrubbing pads as they're not so hard on the metal frets and I also use a Sparklean polish cloth that works miraculously at cleaning anything metal be it brass, gold, chrome, gold etc. you just buff the frets and go over them with a soft cloth after. www.sklean.com

I use the exact same fret buffer cloth. I do that and then to top it off I take a Q-tip and put some of Dunlop's string cleaner/protectant (The blue stuff) and do each fret (careful not to get too much on fingerboard). Personally I don't like the stuff on strings, but on frets it's awesome ^^
