What do you mean by "edition"??? Are you asking what specific model it is, because as yo umay or may not know there are several different models of MIM Strats (Standard, Classic Player, Classic Series, etc etc). Either look at the product page here and see if you find one that matches the specs of yours, post a pic here and we'll tell you what it is, or contact Fender customer service and tell them the serial number.

If you are just generally wondering if your guitar was made in 2007 or 2009, then look at the serial number. Does it start with MZ7 or MZ9? Read this: http://www.fender.com/support/mexican_instruments.php

Hi metro: I suspect he means before or after the "upgrade" they did on the MIM in... was it about 2008? -ish?

And to Ash1996: tell us the serial number as Nevin says, or better still show us some photos, especially a close-up on the headstock, and we'll be able to tell you. If it's got the solid black logo that's going to be kind of a clue...
