I traded for one of these a few months back.
Plays very very nice. Came with case and most of the candy.
A friend of mine looked at headstock and thought the logo looked like a decal.
Well, it does.
Is this typical for a 2007 or other strat model?
And why is there no info on where it was made??

thx all

The guitar is vintage correct, all the 50's/60's guitars had the same. The current vintage reissue guitars are the same.

If you run the serial number through FMIC's data base, it will state definitively when and where the guitar was built.

These 50th Anniv. strats also had no logo imprint anywhere on the body or neck as to their manufacture origin?
I looked at neck also with no made in.
There was a bar code on the neck and neck pocket had red ink date stamp

Yeah that all sounds bang on correct to me. No made in, no serial on the neck. Just the same way they were in the 50's.

You will likely experience problems running the serial through online databases. The V prefix serial no' doesn't have any kind of corresponding year refrence within the serial no'.

If you want to get it checked email customer relations.

Thx for all the great responses. I am impressed and grateful for the attention as a newbie.
There is some great stuff here.
I started playing again after 30 years and prefer the strat config to any other guitar due to the varied sounds that can be obtained with the 5 way switch, the tremolo, etc.
Great vibes.
I have bough countless (well, about 50 clones) and seem to find only Fenders come out on top overall.
Although I can say that others have come VERY close....
In particular: Hondo, Lotus and Cort depending on the model.
I do think that due to the shorter necks, the Gibson humbucker LP and SG models allow faster play and wider string bends and offer an amazing alternative to the three pickup configuration.
